Find Peace with God

We at First Baptist believe deeply in the peace that Jesus Christ brings into the ongoing storms of life.

"Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God

because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us." - Romans 5:1

Check out what we mean below:

God went to the greatest lengths possible to express His love for all of us by sending His Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for all our sins. We admit we need His forgiveness and love, so we place our lives in His merciful hands. The Bible tells us: "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (John 3:17). This salvation was accomplished for us when Jesus died in our place on the cross and then rose from the dead. God did all the work, and He now invites all people to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord - by God's grace through faith. It is when we call on His Name for salvation that we experience new life, a fresh start.

What does it mean to “save the world through Him”?

We believe that God created human beings in His image, with desire and potential for goodness, truth, and beauty, and that God’s ultimate plan for the world is to set things right and renew all things. However, people are sinful and, therefore, separated from God, so we cannot know Him personally or experience His love. To remedy this, the Lord Jesus Christ came to save the world through His death and resurrection!

What do I need to do?

By God’s grace through faith, you can receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord right now.

It’s as simple as ABC:

A.  Admit that you’re a sinner and repent of your
      sins

B.  Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on
the cross for the complete forgiveness of
your sins, and that He rose again,
conquering sin and death and giving you
      eternal life

C.  Commit your life to know, love, and become
      like Jesus

You can receive Christ right now through prayer:

“Lord Jesus. I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross in my place for my sins. By Your grace, I turn from sin and place my faith in You. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. In Your Name I pray, Amen.”
