Join us this summer as we take on The Quarry! From June 20-24, both Jr./Sr. High students will be heading 3 hours south to Iowa where we'll be spending our time at "The Quarry." We promise you won't want to miss this trip!! Below I'll tell you a little about this trip, followed by what the Quarry is and some specific activities and things available for us at The Quarry. What is the purpose of this trip? This trip will be a great time to unplug and spend time in community with God and with other people. We are carefully crafting a week full of devotions, small group lessons, worship and unique activities to grow closer to Christ. The Quarry offers plenty of room for us to reflect and grow spiritually without many of the distractions we often face. In addition to the spiritual component, this trip is being carefully planned to grow closer to one another with a ton of activities, competitions, games, and other things throughout the week. We all desperately need more opportunities to connect with others, and this will be a great place to connect with other students and leaders. What is the Quarry? Glad you asked! The Quarry is a few secluded acres of land that is owned by Ryan's In-laws. The Property holds a small lake, hiking trails, a guest cabin, a large grassy area, and plenty of things to do. It is also located just a few minutes from a spot for tubing, wakeboarding and skiing. Here is some of what's available for us at The Quarry: -Fishing (The pond is stocked with sunfish, bass and catfish) -Swimming/beach -Frisbee Golf -Tubing/Skiing/Wakeboarding -Axe Throwing -Cornhole, Spikeball, other yard games -Board/card Games -Short Hikes -Night Games -Kayaks -Paddleboards -Spots to hit Golf Balls -Minibikes -Bonfires -Volleyball Logistics: * We will leave for The Quarry on Monday and be back on Friday afternoon. * Cost is $100 per student.
