Welcome to Women's Ministry at First Baptist!

Below you will find several opportunities to get plugged in with the women in our community. Please continue to check back and find addition opportunities to get involved and enjoy First Baptist women's events.

"First Baptist Women's Ministry exists to equip women to grow in love and grace

and to build real relationships with Jesus and women of all ages."

Your Women's Ministry Team,

Rebecca Nelson, Julie Page, and Julie Tooker

Coffee Connection

The next Coffee Connection will be held AUG 19 from 9am-11am and 6pm-8pm at the home of Phyllis Van Rossum!

Please join us! If you receive First Baptist emails, you will receive a reminder a few days prior to the event with address and details. There remains no agenda...just coffee and food and enjoying one another. Bring a friend or two to either to the morning Connection or the evening Connection...or come to BOTH! It's always a fun time getting together with "the girls!"

Friends First Quilters

Get together with other quilters, learn new tips, and share your knowledge with others at our quilting group each month starting in SEP.  The room is equipped with iron, ironing board and plenty of tables for cutting and sewing.  Bring your own sewing machine and supplies.  Work on your favorite project and be inspired and encouraged by women.  Check out our calendar for scheduled OPEN SEWING Fridays (12:30PM-4:30PM) and Saturdays (9AM-12:30PM).  FFQ will offer some optional Friday evening (5-8:30PM) and Saturday morning CLASSES as well.

We’d love you to join us!  Contact Melissa with questions.

You will soon be able to view the FFQ schedule HERE.

Women's Bible Studies

This page is in progress... please check back.

We are excited to announce that our Fall Women's Bible Study will be Anita Keagy's "Seeking God First."   We offered this 6 week study on Sunday mornings last Spring and it was so very well received that some women have been asking to do it again and bring a friend!  Please REGISTER HERE and we will have a workbook ready for you if you don't already have one.  We will meet Monday mornings from 9-11AM and Thursday evenings from 7-9PM starting SEP 9.  Please see the schedule HERE.  Contact Rebecca for more information.

At this time we are not planning to offer a Winter WBS, but encourage you to attend our Women's Ministry sponsored AdultEd class on Sunday mornings beginning JAN 5 and taught by our very own, Julie Page!  Stay tuned for details...

Other Opportunities for Women

These are not First Baptist Women's Events, but they are faith building opportunities that many women are taking advantage of. Click on the following links to get more information and PLEASE let us know if you plan to attend. Our Women's Ministry Team would be blessed to be praying for you!

  • Bible Study Fellowship - BSF is offered at a Satellite location in Cambridge! Contact Tammy Coleman for location and registration information.

  • Widow Might - Contact the Coordinator: North-Metro (Cambridge area) Widow Connect Gatherings by visiting their website.
Mission - help widows connect so they may live, heal, grow and, in time, thrive.
Purpose - exist to serve today's community of widows and are an expression of God's might in their world. Our passion is for the widow - to meet her where she is, on her terms, in meaningful ways, at appropriate times, and to expect nothing in return.

Spring Women's Retreat

What an absolutely glorious time! We sought God's presence together and learned how to become more rooted in Him. Rooted in Prayer, Joy, Faith, Trust, and Hope

Thank you to the Retreat Committee - Jamie, Sandy, Tara, and Kelly. And a HUGE shout out to Arlene Gabrielson, our retreat speaker!!

We hope to offer our next retreat Fall 2020.
