Helping people know, love, and become like Jesus
The Nursery Ministry at First Baptist exists to show the love of Christ to infants & toddlers while parents attend Adult Learning Communities and/or worship services. Our goal is to provide a safe, loving, fun, and Christ-centered environment where parents feel comfortable leaving their children and where children enjoy being. We offer nursery during our 8:30am and 11am worship services and during Sunday School from 9:45-10:45am. For more information, please contact our Director of Children & Family Ministries, Greta Schimming, at 763-689-1173 x11.
Our Children’s Ministry seeks to purposefully and creatively partner with families to help kids know, love, and become like Jesus. We have Wednesday night programming (BUDs in Christ, TreeClimbers, Stockade) for K-5th grade and we have a Sunday School program (252 Kids) for age 4 - 5th grade that is based on Luke 2:52. We passionately want your kids to have fun while they learn about Jesus and about God’s love for them! For more information, please contact our Director of Children & Family Ministries, Greta Schimming, at 763-689-1173 x11.
BUDs in Christ (Beautiful, Unique Daughters in Christ) is our Wednesday night program for girls K-5th grade. We get together to have fun and friendships as we focus on knowing, loving, and becoming like Jesus. We have a Bible-based devotional, age-divided small groups, crafts, games, and journal time. We also do special events and service projects together. For more information, please contact our Director of Children & Family Ministries, Greta Schimming, at 763-689-1173 x11.
TreeClimbers is our Wednesday night program for K-1st grade boys & their fathers. Together, boys and their fathers learn about creation and grow closer to God and to each other. Games, projects, and Bible stories help young boys grow closer to God as they interact with godly men. A boy whose father cannot participate is welcome to attend with an uncle, a grandfather, or mom. For more information, please contact our Director of Children & Family Ministries, Greta Schimming, at 763-689-1173 x11.
Stockade is our Wednesday night program for 2nd – 5th grade boys. Our male volunteer leaders serve as positive role models to boys by demonstrating Christian manhood in action and attitude. During meetings, we use activities, games, service opportunities, and Bible stories to help boys develop the foundations of godly character, Christian maturity and leadership skills. We also do special events throughout the year. For more information, please contact our Director of Children & Family Ministries, Greta Schimming, at 763-689-1173 x11.
Kids Choir gives children in grades 1-5 the opportunity to sing to the Lord! In Kids Choir, the children learn and present the truth of Jesus using the gifts of music, drama, and dance. We present two musicals each year. If your children have voices to sing, or hearts to serve, Kids Choir is the place for them! For more information, please contact the church office at 763-689-1173.
This ministry is for children ages 5-12 who are hurting from the effects of divorce, separation, or a troubled marriage. At DivorceCare 4 Kids, children find out that there are other children going through the same thing they are. At meetings, they are deeply cared for and know that it is a safe place to share their feelings. We have snacks, crafts, games, a DVD lesson time, and more. For more information, please contact the church office at 763-689-1173.
