My greatest passion is helping others discover and grow in a relationship with Christ. I love being a part of cheering, praying, and coaching people in the journey of faith.

What do you love about being on staff at First Baptist?
The staff and volunteers here at First Baptist are some of the most gracious and humble servants I have ever met. I love learning from them and seeing God use us to reach people.

Ministry Passion:
My passion is to see people engage with God on a deep level through the use of the arts. I love the experience of leading people in worship and feeling God's Spirit flood into the room; it is truly amazing and humbling.

It is a joy to serve at a church where people are passionately seeking Christ and desire to be used by Him to make a difference in the world. It is also a privilege to call the other members of our staff my friends!

I desire to invest my life in young people so that they become passionate disciples of Jesus Christ.

My husband's name is Brian and I am so thankful to have a loving husband who enjoys working with Jr. High students as much as I do! We have been married since March 2007.

Hobbies and Interests:
I enjoy watching movies, shopping, baking, playing games, and spending time with friends.

What do you love about being on staff at First Baptist?
I feel like I am in the perfect role for who God made me to be, and it gives me so much joy to use my gifts at this church. I really love working with the rest of the staff and the many volunteers in the Jr. High ministry. We have so much fun serving God together!

Ministry Passion:
My greatest passion and desire is to see Jr. High students following Jesus Christ in their everyday lives. I love when a student learns something new about God or puts their faith in Jesus Christ for the first time. I also love when students get excited about God's Word and learn to apply the truths of the Bible to their lives.

My parents, William and Julie, live in Mansfield, OH where my dad is the Pastor of Missions in a BGC/Converge church. I have two brothers, Joel and Jason, and one sister, Beth.

Hobbies and Interests:
I enjoy playing sports, reading, spending time with family and friends, playing board games, and eating.

What do you love about being on staff at First Baptist?
My favorite thing about being at First Baptist is the strong community of believers. I am consistently impressed with the spiritual maturity and curiosity prevalent in every age group of people here, from children to seniors and everyone in between. The present day church needs more people who are secure in their faith but also eager to know and serve more. I also like that the senior high students have given me the nicname "Deuce" (being the second Jared on staff here). What an awesome nickname and I welcome anyone to call me Deuce! 

Ministry Passion:
My desire is to help people discover the gift of hope offered by Jesus Christ and encourage them to embrace the unique plan He has for their lives. I also desire to communicate with everyone I meet that they are worthy of love and that God's gift and Christ's life are proof of that truth.

I follow most sports (used to participate!), collect stamps, walk daily, read daily and I often meet with young pastors in coffee shops.

I love the positive spirit of our church, the sincere commitment of our staff and the freedom I have to do my work.

Ministry Passion:
My greatest passion is helping people understand what a growing relationship with Christ is all about and how it brings fulfillment and hope to our lives.

What do you love about being on staff at First Baptist?
I love being a part of such a great team of leaders and volunteers. There is such an excitement about where God is leading us as a church. The families at First Baptist are incredible!

Ministry Passion:
What a privilege it is to be called to ministry with children and their families. One of my greatest joys in ministry is seeing children come to faith in Christ and watching them grow in that faith. I also enjoy seeing leaders grow and develop and use their spiritual gifts to serve the children and the Lord.

What do you love about being on staff at First Baptist?
I enjoy providing our staff and volunteers with anything they need through the church office. Having the opportunity to see our church family serve Jesus by serving others is also a blessing that I cherish.

My greatest passion is honoring Christ by using my gift of helps so that people understand that Jesus loves them and desires a relationship with Him.

Family:
I am married to Gini and we have two children: Kristen (husband Trevor) and Todd. Kristen and Trevor have three children: Derek, Danielle, and Olivia.

Hobbies and interests:
I am nearly retired from one of my passions of the last decade which is umpiring/refereeing athletic events. I also love reading, helping with my grandkids' sports teams, and attending athletic events, especially with my son.

What do you love about being on staff at First Baptist?
I think that I have found the job that is the greatest "fit" possible for me. It is a thrill to be around so many staff and volunteers who give generously of their time both. I enjoy every facet of caring for the cemetery and find a tremendous reward in working with people in times of loss.

Ministry passion:
My passion is to be of service to all who enter the church or visit the cemetery.
