Women's Groups & Events

  • Coffee Connection

    The next Coffee Connection will be held on Monday, August 21 at the home of Carolyn Paulson.  Please come between 9-11AM and/or 7-9PM.   This is a great opportunity to connect by reaching out and inviting friends or neighbors!  There is no agenda, just come and enjoy refreshments and fellowship.  If you are a regular attender and receive email notifications, you will be sent a reminder with the hostess's address the weekend prior to the gathering.

  • 2017 Fall Retreat - September 15-17, 2017 at Timber Bay Retreat Center in Onamia, MN

    Registration is NOW OPEN!  Click on this LINK to register online or stop in the church office during business hours to receive help with registering or to pay by check.  We are SO pleased to share that our retreat speaker this year will be "THE AMAZING Sandra Ekerholm!!!!!"  We look forward to growing in our relationships with Jesus and with many of you ladies as well.

  • Women's Bible Studies

    We are looking forward to using The Story's "Personal Journal & Discussion Guide" as our Women's Bible Study this year.  Meeting each week from September thru April for this 31 week study will be a SUPER way to follow through with what Pastor Jared is asking the entire church to do each week as we read "The Story" together.  Your Women's Ministry Team is excited to join in with the vision of FBC and offer this in depth bible study!  Please join us!!!  You can register by clicking on this LINK and find more information about why we chose to offer this study by clicking HERE.

    • Monday mornings from 9-11AM (click HERE for the Monday schedule)
    • Thursday evenings from 7-9PM (click HERE for the Thursday schedule)

  • Friends First Quilters

    Get together with other quilters, learn new tips, and share your knowledge with others at our quilting group. Work on your favorite quilting project (or any other craft) and be inspired and encouraged by other women. 

    • We meet the first Saturday of the month during the school year for open sewing time, except for SEP and NOV which are held the second Saturday.
    • The room is equipped with irons, ironing boards, cutting mats, rulers, and plenty of tables for cutting and sewing. Bring your own sewing machine and supplies.
    • Saturday mornings are from 9am - 12:30pm.
    • Saturday classes are optional and will be held in a different area than the sewing room.
    • Friday classes are held from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. There is also open sewing time on the Friday evenings that classes are held.
    • Retreat - Saturday, MAR 3, 9am - 6pm.

  • Other Fun Opportunities for Women

    These are not First Baptist Church Women's Events, but they are faith building opportunities that women from our church and many others are taking advantage of.  Click on the following links to get more information and PLEASE let us know if you plan to attend.  Our Women's Ministry Team would be blessed to be praying for you!

    • Fall Refreshment at Trout Lake Camp in Pine River, MN September 22-24 (Friday-Sunday).  Set aside time to reflect and meet God. Come away from your usual routine and hear the voice of God in a fresh way. This year’s retreat theme is Overflowing Hope from Romans 15:13. Come with an open heart to experience God's goodness and hope! So, for one of the best weekends of your fall, come to the Fall Refreshment women's retreat and reflect, reconnect, be refreshed, and get recharged. *BROCHURE
    • Abundance! is coming to Grace Church in Eden Prairie, MN!  September 29-30 (Friday-Saturday).  Come together with women from across the country and all walks of life for ABUNDANCE, a special two-day event to explore the sufficiency and generosity of Christ. Authors and teachers Lisa Harper, Kelly Minter, Lysa TerKeurst, Angela Thomas-Pharr, Jefferson Bethke, Eric Geiger, Linda and Jen Barrick, Jackie Hill Perry, Eric Mason, Lauren Green McAfee, along with Christian recording artists Christy Nockels and Natalie Grant, will explore and illustrate how embracing God's abundance transforms every area of our lives.  *VIDEO

    Women's Ministry also has a number of Leader Kits and DVD's that can be made available for your group at no cost.  Please contact Rebecca if you are interested in utilizing any of these resources.
