Welcome to Women's Ministry at First Baptist!

Below you will find several opportunities to get plugged in with the women in our community. Women's Groups & Events


  • Coffee Connection - Monday, AUG 20

    Please join us Monday, AUG 20, at the home of Michelle Lundeen! If you receive First Baptist emails, you will receive a reminder a few days prior to the event with address and details.  There remains no agenda...just coffee and food and enjoying one another. Come and bring a friend or two to either the morning Connection from 9am-11am or the evening Connection from 6pm-8pm. Or come to BOTH! It's always a fun time getting together with "the girls!"

  • Women's Bible Studies

    We are excited to announce that our Fall study will be, "We Saved You a Seat" by Lisa-Jo Baker.  Please join us to learn 7 practical ways to find and keep lasting friendships. C'mon ladies, we really do need one another AND an opportunity to grow in friendship! Check out this VIDEO to learn more. We will begin the week of SEP 17 and finish up on NOV 12.     • MONDAY mornings from 9am-11am, Rm 201 (childcare available with registration)
    • another possible offering of this study is in the works!
    • THURSDAY evenings from 7pm-9pm, Rm 201

  • Friends First Quilters

    Get together with other quilters, learn new tips, and share your knowledge with others at our quilting group. Work on your favorite quilting project (or any other craft) and be inspired and encouraged by other women. 

    • We meet the first Saturday of the month during the school year for open sewing time.
    • The room is equipped with irons, ironing boards, cutting mats, rulers, and plenty of tables for cutting and sewing. Bring your own sewing machine and supplies.
    • Saturday mornings are from 9am - 12:30pm; however, if there is enough interest the time could be extended to 2pm.
    • Saturday classes are optional and held in a different area than the sewing room.
    • Friday classes are held 5:30pm - 8:30pm. There is also open sewing time on the Friday evenings that classes are held.
    • Register for all classes by the Tuesday before class by contacting Gale. Classes are free, although there will be a charge for materials.

  • Christmas Concert and Dessert

    A NEW Women's Christmas Event is in the works! Please stay tuned to hear more about our speaker and how we will have the opportunity to work together to bless women in our community that are being helped by The Refuge. Expect a beautiful and inspiring message, a Christmas concert, some hilarious  comedy, and an opportunity to Serve! Put Monday evening, DEC 3, on your calendar TODAY and come back here for more details.

  • Other Fun Opportunities for Women

    These are not First Baptist Church Women's Events, but they are faith building opportunities that women from our church and many others are taking advantage of.     • Bible Study Fellowship - BSF is offered at a Satellite location in Cambridge!  Contact Kay Lukkarila for location and registration information.
    • Women's Serving Groups - First Baptist serving groups serve at funerals, memorial services, and all-church events. Contact the church office if you would like to serve.
    • Widow Might - Contact the Coordinator: North-Metro (Cambridge area) Widow Connect Gatherings by visiting their website. Mission: help widows connect so they may live, heal, grow and, in time, thrive. Purpose: exist to serve today's community of widows and are an expression of God's might in their world. Our passion is for the widow - to meet her where she is, on her terms, in meaningful ways, at appropriate times, and to expect nothing in return.

    Past ONLINE Bible Studies -

    Right Now Media is a FABULOUS resource if you are considering leading a Bible Study in your neighborhood, at your workplace, or just by yourself. Anyone who attends First Baptist may request access to Right Now Media by calling the church office 763.689.1173.
